Dr. Daniel Maraver de Lemus; European Commission
Before joining the EU institutions Daniel Maraver de Lemus gained extensive expertise in the renewable energy field, including a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a thesis focused on ORC power systems. Currently, he is a Project Manager/Officer at the Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) of the European Commission and will provide an overview of the EU-funded projects dealing with ORCs under Horizon 2020 programme for research and innovation (2014-2020).

Wolfgang Klink, Business Owner - Siemens Heat ReCycle Solutions, Siemens Gas & Power

Wolfgang Klink is currently the Business Owner – Siemens Heat ReCycle Solutions at Siemens Gas and Power in Erlangen, Germany. Siemens Heat ReCycle Solutions is focusing on small Combined Cycle Power Plants with ORC technology instead of Water-Steam.He works already more than 20 years for Siemens Gas and Power in different functions and responsibilities. From 1997 to 2007 Mr. Klink worked as Proposal Manager and later Head of Proposal Engineering for turnkey utility steam power plant, all kind of industrial power plants, e.g. steam power plants, combined cycle power plants, biomass power plants. From 2007 to 2017 Mr. Klink managed different engineering departments like engineering of industrial steam turbine generator sets, ORC systems.

The role of gas turbines and ORC technology in a growing demand for decentralized power generation
In his speech, Mr. Klink will focus on the fact that Industries, commercial areas, municipalities and communities are facing three main challenges: cost of electricity, security of supply and CO2 reduction. With the help of local distributed energy solutions it could be possible to turn these challenges. Waste heat recovery (WHR) is one leaver to provide affordable and reliable power supply
